Ragdoll Cats
Ragdoll cats are an extremely laid-back breed that originated in (surprise) California. They tend to relax when held (hence, their name). These large cats have a medium-long, non-matting coat with a soft texture like rabbit fur. They are pointed in color (like the Himalayan or Siamese). Males weigh an average of 12-20 pounds as adults, although some may grow to be larger. Females weigh about 10-15 pounds on average.
These photos are of "Beast", my sister's Ragdoll. Whenever I visit, he's my buddy (he knows a sucker when he sees one).

Such pretty blue eyes! How can you say "no" to this face?
As you can see, Beast has no shame. This is his favorite feet-in-the-air position on my lap.
Ragdolls are best trained with rewards. My sister reports that they are so easy-going that the concept of punishment is foreign to them. Beast doesn't connect being sprayed with the water bottle with the fact that he was eating mom's houseplant.
